A
new site-specific installation
Glass
Curtain Gallery
Columbia College Chicago
Working
with the physical space of the gallery, its myriad past and present uses,
and its architecturally significant beginnings, Core presents an abstracted
“core sample” of architect William LeBaron Jenney’s
Ludington Building, disrupting conventional expectations of architecture.
Viewer exploration will complete the work, revealing reflections of the
building's past, from the vibration of printing presses to toothpaste
and auto-parts.
