In dialogue with the dingy surroundings, this site-specific installation illustrates various ideas of 'clean' and the obsessive hiding and covering of dirtiness. The shower becomes an observation chamber for those outside and a place of vulnerability for the person inside. Confined to the shower, sound and light trigger memories and associations in the viewer's mind, transforming the familiar to the unfamiliar.
